WE'RE STILL SHINING BRIGHT!
The 10,000 Lights Women's Centre Empowerment Program in Uganda, has been hard hit by Covid.
Our program was shut down for 3 months in 2020 and again this past June. This year, we found a way to keep participants engaged ... provided phone counseling, and lessons via recorded audio and video. This worked! We reopened in September, with 17 of the 20 enrollees. Their caregivers have indicated that their overall mental health is improved and vocational test results show gains in skill sets. The class is preparing to start internships this winter.
Now here we are at the end of 2021, still in a pandemic and Still Shining Brightly!
However, we need your help to continue our mission and the services we provide to these young women.
Since we opened our doors in March 2016 - we have enrolled 93 survivors of Commercial Sex Exploitation, and helped them to have agency over their lives.
Your donation will help us enroll another 20 CSE survivors next year.

We've raised $5000 toward our $10,000 goal!
Your donation can help us meet that goal!
