Your Community Can Help Combat Human Trafficking

Around the world, vulnerable women and children are trafficked for sexual exploitation. We’re committed to raising awareness in Massachusetts and preventing this abuse. As part of this effort, we offer a series of informative presentations, listed below. If you're interested in hosting a talk in your Boston or South Shore community, please contact us—we'd be glad to discuss how we can support your event.

Speaker — Michelle Luhrman

Nonprofit Founder and President, AmiliasLight.org

Speaker, Michelle Luhrman

Michelle, founder of Amilia’s Light, became a passionate social activist, fundraiser, and nonprofit leader while being a stay-at-home mom.

With many interests, and a love of learning and engaging with people, she radiates when she speaks or writes about something for which she has passion. Usually, that’s the survival and success stories from the women she serves at her nonprofit, AmiliasLight.org. Often, it’s about shining a light on the dark world of Human Trafficking, including awareness, prevention, and recovery.

As a speaker, she brings light, sparkle, and ease into a really dark subject that you probably don’t realize exists in your own backyard. She will reveal to you what role you can play in your home and community to influence positive change.

Michelle is passionate about empowering the women in her life, by encouraging them to dig deep, excavate their God-given gift and dream big.
